Housekeeper

Role overview

We are hiring a Housekeeper for The Willowbury retirement village in West Malling. This position is focused on maintaining a spotless, safe, and comfortable setting for residents, with a strong emphasis on service, care, and attention to detail.

This is a full-time role on a 5-day working pattern out of 7. The schedule can include evenings and weekends, so flexibility is expected.

What you will do

• Carry out routine cleaning in residents’ apartments, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitising surfaces.
• Wash and care for residents’ clothing and bedding with accuracy and respect.
• Maintain a neat and welcoming appearance in shared spaces such as lounges, dining areas, and corridors.
• Support light maintenance duties when required.
• Help sustain consistently high standards of hygiene and presentation across the village.

What we are looking for

• Experience in housekeeping, ideally gained in a residential or hospitality environment.
• A careful eye for detail and the ability to work on your own in an organised way.
• Good communication skills and a warm, considerate approach.
• An understanding of the needs and preferences of older adults.
• Willingness to complete background screening and any relevant training.
