Role overview

Cater Care Services is hiring housekeepers for remote village accommodation sites across Queensland, Australia. This permanent full-time role is based out of Brisbane and involves fly-in fly-out or drive-in drive-out arrangements from Brisbane.

The position works on a 2/1 roster, which means 14 days on duty followed by 7 days off. Shift lengths vary and may run for 10, 11, or 11.5 hours. Meals, uniforms, and accommodation are provided, offering a strong chance to save while maintaining a better work-life balance.

Available sites across Queensland include Ernest Henry, Bauxite Hills, Ravenswood, Ensham, Clarke Creek, Jellinbah, Cracow, Lake Vermont, and Archers Village.

Compensation

The advertised pay sits between $75,000 and $85,000 per year. A separate remuneration note also lists a range of $80,000 to $90,000 plus superannuation.

Key duties

• Clean single ensuite dongas.
• Replace linen and make beds.
• Dust and wipe bedroom surfaces.
• Vacuum and mop floors.
• Empty waste bins.
• Operate a buggy when required.
• Use cleaning chemicals safely.
• Carry out repetitive hands-on work, including lifting and bending.
• Support other site team members when needed.
• Maintain a strong focus on workplace safety.

Requirements and preferred background

• Current Australian driver’s licence.

• RSA is preferred.
• Hospitality experience is preferred.
