About the Role

In this position, you will act as the central owner of office technology and infrastructure. The role covers network reliability, physical security systems, endpoint and hardware management, vendor coordination, and day-to-day support for employees. It is a practical, hands-on role that also requires strong collaboration and communication across teams.

Key Responsibilities

Run and maintain the office network setup, including internet service, WiFi access points, switches, and routers so connectivity stays stable and efficient.
Supervise office physical security tools such as CCTV, access control, and visitor management systems to support a secure workplace.
Handle firewall administration, VPN configuration, and network security controls to safeguard company systems and data.
Coordinate with internet providers and external vendors to maintain service levels, manage agreements, and resolve issues quickly.
Oversee IT hardware assets such as laptops, desktops, monitors, printers, peripherals, and other equipment from purchase through retirement.
Deliver everyday IT assistance to staff, resolving hardware, software, and connection issues with a practical, solutions-oriented approach.
Implement and uphold IT policies covering access control, device management, and data protection practices.
Partner with the SOC Analyst to introduce and apply the security controls needed for internal hardware and software.
Plan infrastructure enhancements and technology upgrades that support business growth.
Manage vendor relationships to ensure commitments are met and value is received.
Maintain organized records for IT assets, software licenses, warranties, and service contracts.

Requirements

At least 5 years of hands-on experience in IT management, IT operations, or a comparable role, ideally in a fast-moving startup or similar environment.
Practical experience managing office networking equipment such as WiFi access points, switches, routers, and firewalls.
Direct exposure to CCTV, access control systems, and other physical security technologies.
Strong knowledge of firewall administration, VPN setup, and widely accepted network security practices.
Experience working with ISPs, handling service agreements, and resolving escalations.
Ability to manage and support IT assets including laptops, desktops, printers, monitors, and peripherals.
Well-developed vendor management skills, including negotiation, coordination, and accountability tracking.
Clear communication skills with the ability to explain technical topics to non-technical teammates.
Strong organization, self-direction, and the ability to manage several priorities at once.
A collaborative approach and alignment with values such as ownership, curiosity, and continuous improvement.

Nice to Have

Exposure to mobile device management tools such as Jamf or Intune.
Experience using IT helpdesk/ticketing platforms and asset tracking systems.
Basic familiarity with cybersecurity concepts and compliance standards such as ISO 27001 or SOC 2.
Experience supporting hybrid or remote workplace setups.
Industry certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CompTIA A+, CCNA, or similar credentials.
