Night Porter

About the Role

Dalata Hotel Group is looking for a Night Porter to support smooth overnight hotel operations at its Cork property. This position is part of a welcoming team environment, with training provided through Dalata Academy and guidance from experienced colleagues to help you build your skills and progress in your career. Key Duties

• Handle guest check-ins and check-outs when needed, and assist with porterage and luggage-related guest requests.
• Keep designated hotel areas clean, including the lobby, back office, stairways, restaurant floor, bar floor, public spaces, staff areas, and meeting room floors.
• Carry out cleaning tasks assigned by the manager on duty and complete the nightly checklist, which may also involve preparing function rooms and the breakfast area.
• Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of the hotel entrance and exterior, including removing waste and litter.
• Understand and follow the hotel’s fire safety procedures to help protect guests and staff.
• Prepare meeting rooms as required.

Requirements

• Previous experience dealing with customers.
• Good spoken English.
• Strong planning and organizational ability.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, busy setting.
• Ability to contribute effectively as part of a team.
