Role Summary

The Procurement Buyer supports sourcing, negotiation, and the acquisition of goods and services that keep operations running smoothly.   • Handle internal customer questions about missing items and order status.
  • Respond to information requests and provide guidance on sourcing-to-pay process steps, policies, and procedures.
  • Coordinate with business owners and outside suppliers to clarify needs and solve issues.
  • Run tactical sourcing activities such as spot buys and low-spend RFQs/RFPs when required.
  • Share valid requested delivery dates with suppliers and assist with expediting orders for stakeholders.
  • Partner with suppliers and internal teams to prevent disruptions and keep supply flow steady and secure.
  • Manage the procurement team’s list of unsolicited suppliers.
  • Provide supplier-related guidance and information to internal and external requestors.
  • Communicate schedules, limitations, and purchasing constraints clearly to all parties involved in the supply process.
  • Maintain strong ethical standards in all procurement activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, or a related discipline.
  • At least 3 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management.
  • Hands-on experience creating purchase requisitions and purchase orders in an ERP platform; Coupa experience is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical ability and careful attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills for supplier and process-related issues.
  • Ability to sit for long periods, typically 7–8 hours per day.
  • Comfort using a computer, phone systems, typing, and managing multiple software tools and inquiries at the same time.
