Role Overview
This Manufacturing Associate 2 position is based in Athenry, County Galway, Ireland and reports to the Production Supervisor. The start date is August 2026. The work pattern consists of 12-hour shifts on a 4-on / 3-off and 3-on / 4-off rotation, covering Friday to Sunday plus alternate Thursdays.
In this role, you will support the manufacture of Dexcom’s CGM products in a cleanroom setting. The job involves operating semi-automated and fully automated equipment, carrying out detailed assembly work, and ensuring that every product meets strict expectations for quality, safety, and regulatory compliance. It is best suited to someone with regulated manufacturing or medical device experience who can thrive in a busy, high-volume environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Run and oversee semi-automated and automated production equipment.
- Complete routine manual duties such as component handling, material loading, and assistance with assembly steps.
- Carry out precise, hands-on assembly work while maintaining steady output.
- Conduct checks during production to confirm product quality.
- Handle packaging, labelling, material transfers, and necessary data entry.
- Work in line with GMP, SOPs, batch records, and cleanroom standards, keeping records accurate and complete.
- Escalate deviations, product issues, or safety matters without delay and help meet quality and yield goals.
- Coordinate with supervisors and colleagues to keep communication clear and shift transitions smooth.
- Contribute to a workplace culture centered on safety, quality, and ongoing improvement.
- Reach required competency levels within training timelines and consistently meet productivity and quality targets.
- Show dependable attendance, careful work practices, and consistent compliance with standard processes.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate has a Leaving Certificate or equivalent Level 5 qualification and at least 2 years of experience in medical device or other regulated manufacturing environments. Success in this role depends on strong attention to detail, the ability to follow structured procedures, and comfort with repetitive manual assembly work. Basic computer skills, mechanical aptitude, reliability, adaptability, teamwork, and clear communication are also important.
