Project Engineer

Role Overview

The Project Engineer will take charge of coordinating and controlling projects so they are delivered safely, efficiently, on schedule, and within the approved budget. This position works closely with architects, engineers, contractors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to plan tasks, resolve issues, and keep execution on track. A strong focus is placed on meeting technical specifications, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring compliance with safety requirements throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Support project planning, scheduling, and day-to-day coordination to help deliver work on time and within budget.
• Examine drawings, specifications, and contract documents to confirm alignment with design expectations and contractual obligations.
• Liaise with architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors to resolve technical challenges and maintain smooth project flow.
• Arrange procurement of materials, equipment, and services needed for operations while ensuring timely supply and specification compliance.
• Track project progress, assess workmanship, and spot possible delays or risks, then take action to reduce their impact.
• Maintain detailed project records such as reports, drawings, change orders, and RFIs to support accurate tracking and documentation.
• Assist with estimating costs, managing budgets, and preparing financial updates to keep expenses under control.
• Work with regulatory authorities to secure required permits, approvals, and inspections in line with codes and regulations.
• Keep clients, consultants, and internal teams informed through regular status updates and issue resolution.
• Participate in project discussions and meetings, offering technical input and practical problem-solving support.

Experience Requirement

Candidates should bring at least 10 years of total work experience, including 5 years in a relevant role. Prior GCC experience is considered an added advantage.
