Project Manager - Doha

Role overview

This opportunity is based in Doha, Qatar, and is intended for someone ready to relocate to the Doha office. Acierta is an international design and production studio with teams in Spain, the UK, France, and Qatar, delivering retail, hospitality, and events projects worldwide. Established in 2005, the company brings together specialists in creative development, production, logistics, and installation.

The team is seeking a resourceful, imaginative, and open-minded Project Manager who can handle multiple fast-moving assignments at once. The role involves collaborating on the design, technical development, and delivery of a broad mix of projects, including permanent retail stores, interior design and furniture, pop-up stores, window displays, and events.

Key duties

• Work with the Account Manager to interpret project scope, design direction, and client expectations.
• Plan and track project schedules across development, production, and logistics stages.
• Prepare project costings that include fabrication, transport, and labour.
• Translate technical and design requirements to the Technical Development team.
• Handle drawing packages such as space planning layouts, construction drawings, and joinery details to a high standard.
• Work with accurate 3D models, visuals, and graphic materials such as hand sketches, mood boards, and concept imagery.
• Liaise with suppliers, manufacturers, and contractors to confirm pricing, availability, and delivery lead times.
• Monitor pre-assembly production to make sure deadlines and quality expectations are achieved.
• Keep close communication with Handling & Logistics to ensure pre-assembled production is shipped correctly.
• Supervise installation work on site and coordinate the installation team.
• Take an active role during installations and resolve any snags that arise.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline such as engineering, industrial design, product design, or architecture.
• At least 5 years of experience in exhibitions, events, or retail, with strong exposure to technical development and production of permanent retail stores, temporary installations, pop-ups, showrooms, window displays, point-of-sale materials, interior design, and furniture projects in the Middle East.
• Strong command of English is essential; Arabic and Hindi are considered an advantage.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD, SolidWorks, SketchUp, Rhinoceros, MS Office, and Adobe tools.
• A proactive, hands-on approach with strong conceptual and technical thinking.
• Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving abilities.
• Comfortable working independently as well as in a collaborative team setting.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage several projects at the same time in a fast-paced environment.
