Role Purpose

This position is responsible for maintaining workshop quality in line with Volkswagen dealer requirements. The role includes carrying out internal warranty audits each month, supporting the implementation of quality management systems, and ensuring repair and service processes meet the expected standard.

Key Responsibilities

You will oversee the quality control of completed workshop jobs, confirm that repairs are documented correctly, and make sure labour operations, parts usage, clocking, and repair records are accurately captured in systems such as DMS, PIWIS/PQIS, and the repair order file.

The role also involves checking completed vehicles before handover to customers, confirming that the mechanic or electrician’s report matches the complaint noted on the job card or repair order, and verifying that all supporting records and check sheets are properly completed, including PQIS, PRMS tickets/reports, and stamped service books.

In addition, you will set up random inspections for finished vehicles to identify damage, dirty marks, and other issues, as well as random checks for work in progress. Where standards are not met, you will coordinate with technicians, foremen, and team leaders and escalate concerns to management when needed.

For internal auditing, you will investigate customer complaints related to repeat repairs, identify recurring issues and training gaps, prepare weekly quality reports for management, carry out warranty self-audits, and review after-sales processes against best practice. You will also work with team leaders and foremen to discuss improvement ideas and cost-saving opportunities, and liaise with relevant stakeholders on product quality concerns by compiling reports on failures and repeat repairs.

On the development side, you are expected to stay current with manufacturer product bulletins, strengthen your technical knowledge through an agreed development plan, complete online training from the manufacturer as released, and participate in the company appraisal process each year.

Required Profile

The ideal candidate should be a certified technician with dealership experience and prior automotive work experience in the UAE or Middle East.
