Overview
KBR is hiring a Receptionist for a client assignment located on a Qatar site. This role serves as the first contact point for club members and requires independently managing the reception desk, member access, and front office service in line with club policies and regulations. The position focuses on creating a professional, welcoming environment while delivering strong customer service.
Core Duties
- Welcome club members and visitors professionally, answer incoming calls courteously, and support general front desk operations.
- Monitor and control access to the club so that entry is limited to eligible members in accordance with club rules.
- Apply and uphold club policies and regulations consistently for all members.
- Handle reservations and bookings for club and sports facilities, including meetings, events, and member parties, while coordinating with the relevant teams to keep activities running smoothly.
- Maintain the lost-and-found register and transfer items to the QAFCO representative for safekeeping.
- Track the condition of lounge and club inventory and report any damage.
- Raise maintenance-related work requests with the QAFCO club representative and follow up until resolved.
- Work with housekeeping to keep the club premises clean, orderly, and presentable at all times.
- Maintain high standards of decorum and address unsafe behaviour involving children by coordinating with Pastoral Care and, where needed, informing the parent.
- Carry out any additional duties assigned by the QAFCO representative.
Experience and Education
- A graduate degree or secondary school certificate is acceptable, along with strong spoken and written English skills.
- At least 3 years of experience working as a receptionist in an international hotel, recreational club, or the hospitality sector.
- Good working knowledge of computer applications, including Windows, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- A certificate in basic first aid and CPR is required.
About the Role
The receptionist is expected to be the face of the club, combining hospitality, administrative coordination, and rule enforcement. The job requires someone who can manage guest flow, bookings, records, and facilities while supporting a safe and well-run club environment.
