Wood is inviting expressions of interest for a Site Administrator position in central Queensland, with a possible commencement in February 2027. The role focuses on a wide mix of site administration and payroll tasks, supporting both the site team and home office processes.

Key duties
This position covers payroll administration, site coordination, document control, reporting, and support for stakeholder and team operations. The role also contributes to workplace safety, training coordination, onboarding, competency tracking, and fatigue management records.
Payroll responsibilities
- Run company payroll under Enterprise Agreement arrangements.
- Apply a solid understanding of Enterprise Agreements where possible.
- Keep leave requests up to date.
- Prepare payroll-related reporting when needed.
Site administration responsibilities
- Support key stakeholders and the broader contract team with day-to-day administration.
- Create and refresh documents, registers, reports, and presentations.
- Assist with workplace health and safety activities and training competency management.
- Help coordinate onboarding and induction activities.
- Enter and manage timesheet data and pay queries.
- Maintain the skills matrix and confirm competencies.
- Record meeting minutes.
- Compile end-of-week progress reports.
- Track working hours to support fatigue management.
- Process site payroll for home office handling.
Required experience and capabilities
The preferred candidate has previous experience in a full-function Site Administrator role. Strong Microsoft Excel capability, including formulas and pivot tables, is important, along with proficiency in Word documents. High attention to detail, accurate data handling, and strong communication, organisation, prioritisation, and time management skills are also needed.
