Technology Communications Specialist

About the Role

Netflix’s mission is to entertain audiences around the world. The company is looking for someone who can help shape how its technology and partner ecosystem is described, understood, and communicated across internal, partner, and public channels. This position sits within the Open Connect Partner Enablement team, which supports the company’s content delivery network and works to keep messaging clear, consistent, and strategically aligned.

Open Connect depends on strong coordination with internet service providers and infrastructure partners to support efficient, scalable, and resilient content delivery. In this role, you will help create and manage communications that support those relationships and present Open Connect’s work in a polished and coherent way.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with stakeholders across Open Connect and related teams to keep messaging aligned.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on Open Connect’s technical and strategic positioning.
• Maintain ownership of ISP partner communications and documentation across public, internal, and partner-facing materials.
• Develop and manage content for the Open Connect website, partner help center, presentations, onboarding and network review materials, newsletters, emails, FAQs, runbooks, troubleshooting resources, and other evolving content needs.
• Create educational and reference materials for webinars, conferences, and internal use.
• Support proactive communication for new and emerging content formats such as Live, Podcasts, and similar experiences.
• Coordinate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure messaging is consistent and operationally sound.
• Use AI-based approaches where appropriate to improve the work.

Requirements

• At least 7 years of relevant professional experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities, including executive-level presentation skills.
• Proven skill in collaboration, partnership-building, influencing, and presenting.
• Sound technical and business judgment, with comfort working through ambiguity and complex problems.
• Excellent organization and project management capabilities.
• Exposure to or education in internet technologies used by ISPs, including routing concepts such as IGP/BGP, network and traffic management, interconnection, server hardware/software, and data center operations.
• Ability and willingness to work across time zones with global teams and ISP partners.
• Self-directed mindset with the ability to prioritize and manage independent work.
• Comfort working as a solo writer within a team environment that includes partner enablement, engagement, and engineering groups.
• Curious, mature, open to feedback, and able to give constructive feedback respectfully.
• Writing samples or links to prior writing are requested.

Additional Information

This is a full-time, onsite position in the United States. The role is designed for someone who can work independently while collaborating broadly across teams. The job will remain open for at least 7 days and will be removed once filled.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary range for this position is $240,000 to $360,000, and compensation may vary depending on location. Netflix’s compensation model is salary-based, with no bonuses. Employees choose each year how much of their compensation is allocated to salary versus stock options.
