Role overview
This position leads the end-to-end tendering process for construction and MEP work, with responsibility for producing well-priced, technically sound, and commercially viable proposals. The role is focused on winning business while protecting margin, accuracy, and compliance throughout the bidding cycle.
Primary responsibilities
- Examine tender packages, drawings, specifications, and contract terms to understand scope and requirements.
- Direct the preparation of both technical and commercial submissions.
- Work closely with engineering, procurement, finance, and project delivery teams to assemble bids.
- Create pricing approaches and plan the overall bid execution strategy.
- Evaluate project risks and assess expected profitability before submission.
- Validate estimates, bills of quantities, and detailed cost build-ups.
- Participate in pre-bid discussions and respond to client clarifications.
- Make sure bids are submitted on time and fully aligned with tender requirements.
- Keep tender records updated and prepare reports on bid outcomes and performance.
- Assist with contract discussions once a project has been awarded.
Requirements and qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a closely related field.
- At least 10 years of experience in construction and contracting organizations.
- Strong background in tendering and bid management.
