About the Role

Albury Wodonga Health is looking for a proactive and experienced Workforce Accommodation Coordinator to take charge of the day-to-day operation of its expanding workforce accommodation portfolio. This includes 21 on-site Key Health Worker Accommodation units, along with additional properties used for agency staff, locum doctors, visiting specialists and other essential workforce needs.

Placed within the Staffing Solutions Team and reporting to the Agency Workforce Manager, the role plays an important part in attracting and retaining staff and supporting service continuity by making sure accommodation assets are well managed, efficiently used and aligned with organisational priorities. It is a new position with the chance to help design and grow a service that directly supports healthcare delivery across the region.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will manage AWH’s workforce accommodation portfolio on a daily basis, ensuring rooms and properties are allocated appropriately, maintained well and used to their best capacity. You will handle bookings, occupancy, room readiness, maintenance coordination and accommodation handovers, while also tracking demand and contributing to workforce planning.

You will work closely with internal teams and external partners to provide guidance on allocation, maintain accurate records and reports, track expenditure, ensure compliance with relevant policies and procedures, and support continuous improvement efforts that enhance service quality and occupant experience.

About You

You are a well-organised, service-oriented professional who performs well in a busy environment. You enjoy building strong working relationships, resolving issues and finding practical solutions that improve operational outcomes. You are comfortable working independently, balancing multiple priorities and taking responsibility for a service that has a direct influence on workforce attraction and retention.

What We Offer

This is a rare opportunity to build and shape a new workforce accommodation service that supports staff attraction, retention and service delivery across Albury Wodonga Health. You will be part of a collaborative and supportive People & Culture team, with access to professional development and career growth in a diverse and inclusive workplace. You will also contribute meaningfully to one of regional Australia’s largest and most progressive health services.
