This part-time on-site Administrative Assistant position in East Baton Rouge Parish County, LA is focused on keeping day-to-day office activities running efficiently. The role supports staff, managers, and guests with a high level of professionalism, organization, and care. The right person will be comfortable balancing several priorities, staying on top of details, and helping maintain a positive, well-organized workplace.
Key responsibilities
- Offer general administrative assistance to managers and employees across the business.
- Keep calendars organized, arrange meetings, and manage appointment scheduling.
- Handle incoming calls, reply to emails, and route questions to the right contact.
- Draft, revise, and arrange documents, reports, and presentation materials.
- Maintain orderly filing systems, records, and office paperwork.
- Support data entry tasks while keeping information current and accurate.
- Help organize travel plans, meeting setup, and event coordination when needed.
- Monitor office inventory and make sure supplies and equipment are stocked.
- Greet visitors and contribute to a welcoming, professional front-office experience.
- Assist with special assignments and other administrative duties as requested.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required; any further administrative education or training is considered a plus.
- Prior experience in office administration, clerical support, or customer-facing support is preferred.
- Well-developed organization and time management abilities.
- Clear written and spoken communication skills.
- Comfort using Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint, as well as other office systems.
- Ability to manage sensitive information responsibly and discreetly.
- Strong accuracy, attention to detail, and practical problem-solving skills.
- Capable of working independently while also contributing effectively in a team setting.
