Role Overview

This full-time, on-site position is for an Architectural Designer in Manalapan, NJ. The role centers on developing design concepts, producing detailed architectural drawings, and supporting both new construction and renovation assignments. You will work with internal team members, visit project sites, confirm adherence to applicable codes and regulations, and coordinate with contractors and consultants so that the final execution aligns with the intended design and schedule.

Responsibilities

• Create and refine architectural concepts and translate them into practical design solutions.
• Prepare accurate, detailed architectural drawings and documentation.
• Contribute to projects involving both new builds and renovation work.
• Work closely with colleagues to advance project deliverables and resolve design issues.
• Visit project sites as needed to review conditions and support project development.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant building codes, zoning rules, and industry standards.
• Coordinate with contractors and consultants to maintain design intent and project timelines.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of prior experience in an architectural firm.
• Strong command of AutoCAD; proficiency is mandatory.
• Ability to concept, develop, and detail architectural designs effectively.
• Solid knowledge of building codes, zoning requirements, and standard industry practices.
• Experience collaborating with project managers, contractors, and consultants.
• Good communication and teamwork skills for internal coordination and client-facing work.
• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or a related discipline.
• Licensure, or active progress toward licensure, is considered an advantage.
• High attention to detail, strong problem-solving ability, and interest in practical, creative design outcomes.
• Eligibility to work in the US without sponsorship.
• Ability to work from the Manalapan, NJ location, as relocation support is not provided.
