Role Summary
This is a full-time, on-site position based at the Albertson office. The Assistant Project Manager will support steel project execution from planning through completion, helping coordinate the shop drawing process, RFI submissions, fabrication flow, installation scheduling, and overall project delivery. The role works closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to keep work aligned with scope, budget, and timeline expectations.
Core Responsibilities
The role involves planning project activities, tracking schedules, and helping ensure that fabricated materials are expedited and delivered as needed. It also includes managing the shop drawing workflow, preparing and submitting RFIs and recommendations to the design team, coordinating installation timing, and monitoring progress through to final completion.
Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture is required. Candidates should bring strong project management capability, with the ability to coordinate several active projects at once. Experience with inspection procedures, logistics coordination, and maintaining quality/compliance standards is important. Strong organization, time management, communication, and interpersonal skills are also needed. Prior exposure to heavy construction or structural steel work is preferred.
