About the role

This position is part of the Raytheon country team in Saudi Arabia and reports to the Director of Requirements & Capabilities. The role is centered on expanding the company’s business in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia by building pipeline, engaging external customers, and representing customer priorities internally. It also supports the country Requirements & Capabilities function by keeping processes aligned with internal policies and by helping establish the operating rhythm, tools, and infrastructure needed for efficient execution.

The job is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, at the onsite location on Airport Road, Roshan Front Building S1.

Key focus areas

The role brings together customer engagement, business growth, strategy support, internal coordination, and performance tracking. It involves working across product line and functional teams, maintaining customer relationship plans, leading reviews and calls, and supporting leadership visits and business development activity. The position also includes tracking key metrics such as 5-Year Plan assessments, New Business Investment requirements, and pipeline opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Work with requirements and capabilities leaders, product line teams, and other functions to interpret customer insights and market movement, then use that input to shape an enterprise strategy for the Royal Saudi Armed Forces.
  • Keep internal stakeholders informed on customer needs, market intelligence, opportunity progress, major pursuits, and milestone updates.
  • Explain and monitor the budgeting and requirements process used by the KSA customer, including the steps followed by the customer.
  • Contribute to country strategy development and communicate strategy direction back to Raytheon strategic business units.
  • Ensure strategy is grounded in operational analysis and reflects how capabilities will be used against current and future threats.
  • Use close customer understanding to define priorities and concepts of operations, helping align internal Raytheon priorities with customer needs.
  • Identify business opportunities based on customer priorities and capability gaps, and help shape those opportunities in line with those priorities.
  • Create an internal support network that makes it easy to access product and service expertise across the organization.
  • Build and maintain customer engagement and contact plans that support a unified Raytheon approach to the relationship.
  • Run staff calls and opportunity review meetings for the Saudi Arabia Requirements & Capabilities team.
  • Handle the coordination and logistics for outside business development consultants.
  • Manage ERPM opportunities with capture leads and R&C operations partners.
  • Monitor customer interactions and coordinate internal visits within KSA.
  • Prepare visitor briefing material, agendas, and background content for senior leadership visits.
  • Support function-wide improvement initiatives aimed at efficiency and continuous improvement.
  • Track IPDS milestones for KSA opportunities and apply best-practice IPDS processes.
  • Support broader RTX strategy work for KSA.
  • Use Requirements & Capabilities metrics to support ongoing improvement efforts.

Qualifications required

  • A bachelor’s degree in Business, International Affairs, Engineering, or another relevant field.
  • Hands-on experience dealing with the complexities of doing business with MODEA and related services.
  • Ability to perform well in a fast-moving environment where deadlines and time sensitivity matter.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including fluency in English.
  • Solid collaboration skills and the ability to deliver business results with internal and external partners.
  • Usually 12 years of experience, with progressive leadership responsibility in Business Development or Defense Sales.
  • Proven success in building relationships in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
  • Ability to use customer knowledge to uncover growth opportunities in KSA.
  • Understanding of the global defense market, including customers and industry participants in KSA.
  • Experience monitoring financial metrics and plans.
  • Experience using CRM systems such as Microsoft ERPM.
  • Track record of giving clear direction and leading teams effectively.

Preferred qualifications

  • Background in the military or defense sector.
  • Direct experience with MODEA, Royal military services including MNG, and GAMI.
  • Familiarity with Raytheon Technologies products and services.
  • Previous involvement in KSA MoD programs, captures, and product lines.
  • Ability to communicate directly and effectively with key decision makers.
  • Experience with RTX or comparable FP&A processes and procedures.
  • Understanding of the customer’s culture, political and military environment, and regional customs and norms.
  • Knowledge of the country’s procurement, fiscal, and regulatory environment.
