Role Overview
RIMOWA is hiring an Associate Planner to join its CREW team in New York. This role focuses on order processing, planning support, logistics coordination, and accurate documentation across North, South America, and Canada.
What You’ll Do
- Handle incoming orders from both internal teams and external customers.
- Manage product requests for North America, South America, and Canada in line with demand planning standards, including wholesale, corporate/B2B and PR orders, manual retail store allocations, and replacement cases.
- Assist demand planning efforts by supporting supply flows from manufacturing to distribution hubs and onward from hubs to South America.
- Receive, log, and organize invoices, forms, records, and related documents.
- Support department-store EDI readiness and compliance.
- Work with distribution hubs to ensure customer-specific value-added services are delivered, including fulfillment confirmation and ASN creation and confirmation.
- Coordinate with department stores through the DI Central portal for order receipt and invoicing.
- Assist sales representatives with chargeback investigations and share logistics-process issues to support continuous improvement.
- Convert business priorities into shipment instructions and deadlines for hub teams, in partnership with the Logistics Manager.
- Estimate order preparation timelines based on order volume, VAS complexity, and hub workload.
- Maintain transportation data and reporting related to cost and service performance.
- Prepare commercial invoices for cross-border shipments.
- Support retail teams with special delivery tracking details and resolve invoice-versus-physical delivery mismatches.
- Perform other related duties as assigned, since responsibilities may change at management’s discretion.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in business, analytics, merchandising, or a closely related discipline.
- Strong accuracy and speed in data entry.
- At least 1 to 2+ years of experience in planning, allocation, or merchandising.
- Prior exposure to process improvement and department-store EDI compliance.
