Role overview
We are seeking an experienced Audit Manager for a permanent, full-time position that can be performed entirely remotely. The role is centered on supporting a growing CPA firm that serves clients across local, national, and international markets, with a particular focus on the Cayman Islands.
The firm has nearly twenty years of industry experience and provides a wide range of services, including tax, accounting, audit leadership, valuations, mergers and acquisitions, capital formation for start-ups and reorganizations, joint ventures, and consulting on financial process improvement and change management. As Audit Manager, you will help broaden the client portfolio, strengthen service delivery, and contribute to the firm’s continued growth.

Compensation and benefits
The annual salary range for this role is $100,000 to $125,000.

Key responsibilities
- Lead audit assignments end to end, from initial planning through execution, direction, and final completion.
- Work directly with clients in hedge funds, private equity, and investment funds, maintaining strong and professional communication.
- Perform risk evaluations and test internal controls while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations; prior SOX exposure is an advantage.
- Use strong working knowledge of GAAP and IFRS, with emphasis on IFRS for offshore work.
- Supervise, coach, and support a team of auditors.
- Prepare, examine, and finalize audit support files such as workpapers and tickmarks.
- Stay current on developments in financial instruments and fair value accounting.
- Assess Level I, II, and III investments and use those evaluations to inform audit conclusions.
- Partner with other internal teams to improve audit workflows and operating efficiency.
Required background
- At least 5 years of auditing experience within Accounting and Finance.
- Hands-on exposure to hedge funds, private equity, and investment funds.
- Strong understanding of financial instruments and fair value accounting.
- Experience analyzing Level I, II, and III investments.
- Excellent client-facing communication skills.
- Proven ability to assess risk and test internal controls; SOX experience is beneficial.
- Sound knowledge of GAAP and IFRS, especially IFRS.
- Experience producing audit documentation, including workpapers and tickmarks.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related discipline.
- CPA or similar certification is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership ability and experience managing auditors.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational capabilities.
- Ability to work independently, juggle multiple priorities, and manage a virtual team effectively.
- High standards of integrity and professionalism.
