Banqueting Captain

Role overview

This position focuses on creating a polished, memorable banquet or event experience for guests. The role is centered on smooth execution from setup through breakdown, with attention to service quality, guest interaction, and efficient handling of event materials and supplies.

Key duties

You will support banquet and event operations by preparing event spaces, moving supplies and equipment, taking guest orders, and engaging with attendees throughout the function. The role requires you to help ensure every event feels seamless and thoughtfully delivered.

Work expectations

Success in this job depends on maintaining a safe work environment, following company procedures, and consistently meeting quality standards. Professional grooming, appearance, and communication are essential at all times.

The work is physically active and requires extended periods of standing, sitting, or walking, along with a hands-on approach to lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance. You may also be asked to handle other reasonable duties as needed.

Education and experience

A high school diploma or GED-equivalent is preferred. Prior related experience of less than one year is expected. No supervisory background is required, and no license or certification is needed.
