About the Role

SICPA Malawi Limited is seeking a motivated Business Intelligence Analyst to join their team in Blantyre. This role is integral to the Service Centre activities for the SICPATRACE solution, focusing on reporting, data analysis, and action planning. You will collaborate with customers, operations management, the Service Centre team, and other departments like IT Operations, Field Service Operation, and Finance to interpret data and support decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze data from SICPATRACE, ServiceNow, and monitoring tools such as Splunk and Nagios.
  • Foster data capability and a data-driven culture within functional teams through training, coaching, and data support.
  • Define, implement, and manage essential data processes within operations, including SICPA’s Market Surveillance.
  • Generate and analyze reports, engaging with stakeholders to interpret data and inform decisions or action plans.
  • Integrate and analyze data from various sources including SICPATRACE BI, DMS, Splunk, and ServiceNow.
  • Manage development activities, including technical analysis, effort estimation, scope definition, and coordination with technical teams.
  • Monitor and audit data quality rigorously.
  • Prepare and deliver scheduled or ad-hoc reports on status, operational performance, and service management.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of BI and Reporting training for customer and taxpayer system users.
  • Develop and deliver internal training materials and sessions for team members.

Educational Qualifications, Essential Knowledge, and Experience

  • Hold a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Business Studies, or a related field.
  • Possess experience with enterprise business intelligence tools, specifically Microsoft SQL Server (SSAS, SSRS, SSIS), MDX, Data Modelling/Integration, and either Tableau or Power BI.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical skills with a proven ability to produce comprehensive reports.
  • Proficient in SQL.
  • Experience working with large structured and unstructured datasets.
  • Familiarity with ITSM and experience in Service Management.
  • Experience presenting reports to senior management.
  • Experienced in quality and performance monitoring processes.

  • Experience troubleshooting computer networks.
