About the role

Ford Motor Company is hiring a Business Development Specialist to support its Marketing, Sales & Service organization in driving stronger dealer performance and customer loyalty. In this role, you will work closely with Ford Dealers in the East Market Area and partner with regional field teams across New York, Boston, Philadelphia, and Pittsburgh to advance key business initiatives. Key responsibilities

You will support dealer success through onboarding, training, sustainment, relationship management, cross-functional coordination, and performance review. The role also includes helping dealers implement and effectively use tools and initiatives such as Delivery Day Tool, modem activations, Preferred Dealer Selection within Ford App, Connected Services order mix, Connected Services customer take rates, and AI platform utilization.

Onboarding

  • Partner with dealers to ensure a smooth rollout of Ford’s digital products, including Delivery Day Tool, AI platforms, and related technology solutions.
  • Guide dealers through system features and workflows so they can use the tools confidently and correctly.

Training

  • Lead training sessions customized to dealer needs, with an emphasis on using technology tools to improve sales outcomes.
  • Help develop training decks, materials, and support resources that strengthen dealer learning and adoption.

Sustainment

Performance analysis

  • Work with internal stakeholders to collect information on dealer outcomes and adjust training approaches as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a closely related discipline.
  • At least 5 years of Ford field experience.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 80% of the time within the market area, including New York, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, and Boston.
  • Background in training, sales support, and/or dealer relations in automotive, technology, or a similar environment.
  • Strong understanding of Ford dealer operations across sales and service.
  • Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to explain complex information clearly.

Compensation and other details

This role is assigned to salary grade 8, with a pay range of $99,100 to $166,200. The final salary level will depend on the candidate’s skills, experience, job scope, responsibility level, and market value.
