Business Process Analyst

Role overview

Wilmar International is seeking a Business Process Analyst based in Singapore to work closely with business teams and technology partners on process improvement, automation, and AI enablement initiatives. The role focuses on understanding how work is currently done, redesigning it for greater efficiency, and helping ensure that digital solutions align with operational needs.

What you will do

• Work with stakeholders across departments to uncover current workflows, operational challenges, and business goals through interviews, workshops, and process reviews.
• Capture the existing process landscape and design improved future processes, with an emphasis on simplification, standardisation, and opportunities for automation.
• Evaluate where automation, digital tools, or AI can add value, and classify activities by whether they are best suited for automation, AI support, system integration such as SAP, or manual handling.
• Act as the bridge between business teams and IT by converting operational needs into precise functional requirements and checking that delivered solutions match expectations.
• Create process diagrams, requirement documents, user stories, and other supporting materials.
• Assist with testing, validation, and deployment of automation and AI solutions while collecting user input and supporting adoption.
• Keep process documentation, requirement records, and improvement logs up to date for future reference.
• Help build and maintain a common library of reusable automation examples, templates, and best practices.

Required background

• A diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a closely related discipline.
• About 2 to 3 years of experience in business analysis, IT systems integration, or process improvement.
• A strong technology foundation with the ability to understand system interactions and data movement across the organisation, including end-to-end business processes in finance, operations, and trading where applicable, as well as ERP environments such as SAP, data flows, and APIs.
• Excellent communication and people skills, with the confidence to work with users at different levels and translate between business and technical stakeholders.
• An analytical and structured approach to spotting inefficiencies, simplifying workflows, and designing processes suitable for automation.
• Ability to document processes and requirements in a clear, concise manner.
• Comfort working in a regional, multi-country setup with offshore delivery teams.

Preferred experience

• Exposure to automation and AI platforms such as Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Automate, Power Apps, and Copilot Studio, or other RPA tools.
• Experience with SAP processes such as FI, CO, MM, or SD would be an advantage.
• Working knowledge of data analysis and reporting tools like Excel, Power BI, or Tableau.
• Business analysis certification such as CBAP or CCBA, or related Microsoft/automation credentials.
• Awareness of governance topics such as security, data privacy, and AI usage policies.
