Stellenbeschreibung
About the opportunity
We’re seeking a highly engaged operator and leader to help shape the next stage of a sustainable business. This role is designed for someone who enjoys strategy, but is most effective when involved directly in the day-to-day work of the company. If you prefer practical impact over bureaucracy and want to influence results in a visible way, this COO / Integrator position may be a strong fit.
Work location and schedule
- Based in Manhattan, New York City, in a well-appointed office.
- Work model is fully on-site.
- Standard business hours apply.
- Travel is expected 1–2 times per month initially, with the frequency increasing gradually over time.
- Travel includes day trips to an East Coast distribution center and twice-monthly trips to an international back-office location; a passport is required.
Compensation
- Base pay: $150,000 to $180,000 per year.
- Expected performance bonus: at least $50,000 in additional annual earnings.
- Profit sharing: an estimated $50,000 to $60,000 more as the company expands.
- Target total compensation: $200,000 to $300,000+ annually.
Role overview
In this position, you will own the company’s daily operations and move between high-level planning and hands-on execution. One week may involve building next year’s operating plan; another may require you to improve inventory flow, support customer-related work, or lead hiring efforts.
Your remit will extend across operations, logistics, marketing, finance, and administration, and the Head of Sales is expected to report into this role in the future.
Key focus areas
- Take full responsibility for operational performance across core business functions.
- Improve workflows such as order management, shipment tracking, customer issue resolution, and overdue billing collection using efficient modern systems and AI tools.
- Develop junior team members into stronger, more accountable leaders.
- Own financial oversight, including profit and loss management, cash flow control, financial modeling, and forecast review.
What we’re looking for
This role is intended for a true player-coach rather than a traditional office-bound executive. We need someone who can lead strategically while also operating comfortably in the details of the business.
- 10 to 15+ years of progressive operating leadership experience in a small or mid-sized company, ideally in the $10M to $100M range.
- A formal COO title is not required; experience gained through growth into operational leadership is highly valued.
- Strong financial understanding, including the ability to build models, review balance sheets, manage substantial P&Ls, and make decisions based on data.
- Demonstrated success in creating or rebuilding essential operational processes in lean environments.
- Comfort with modern ERP systems, dashboards, and AI-enabled automation.
- People-focused, accountable, driven, and able to raise standards across the team.
Preferred background
- Bilingual ability in English and Spanish is a plus.
- Prior experience in manufacturing, consumer packaged goods, distribution, or another physical-products business with a real supply chain is preferred.
Additional notes
This opportunity is for a hands-on executive who can balance leadership with execution and help drive meaningful growth in a fast-moving environment.
