Civil Project Engineer

Role Overview

Orient House for Development & Construction LLC is hiring a Civil Project Engineer to oversee civil construction work in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The role focuses on making sure buildings, infrastructure, and structural activities are delivered on schedule, within the approved budget, and in line with local regulations, quality expectations, and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities

You will take charge of planning and supervising civil site activities, coordinating with project stakeholders, and keeping execution aligned with approved drawings and specifications.

• Organize, coordinate, and oversee all civil works at the site.
• Check civil drawings, BOQs, and project specifications for execution readiness.
• Liaise with consultants, subcontractors, and site engineering teams.
• Track site progress and verify that work follows approved drawings.
• Prepare and submit RFIs, shop drawings, and method statements.
• Ensure work stays aligned with project timelines and construction milestones.
• Carry out routine site inspections and address technical issues as they arise.
• Maintain quality standards for concrete, steel, and finishing activities.
• Coordinate material deliveries and monitor proper material usage on site.
• Compile daily, weekly, and monthly progress updates.
• Follow up on approvals from consultants and government authorities.
• Ensure compliance with HSE standards and Abu Dhabi construction rules.
• Support cost tracking, variation orders, and project-related documentation.

Required Profile

The ideal candidate should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and have 5 to 8 years of experience in civil construction projects, preferably with UAE exposure. Strong familiarity with structural and civil construction methods is essential, along with hands-on experience in high-rise buildings, villas, or infrastructure work. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Primavera P6, and MS Office is required. Good knowledge of BOQ handling, quantity understanding, and site execution is also expected. Strong communication and coordination abilities are important for this role.
