Role overview

This permanent full-time cleaning position is based at Pladis, Canal Street, South Wigston, Leicester, LE18 4PQ. The shift pattern runs Monday to Friday from 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm, plus Saturday from 6:00 am to 2:00 pm, for a total of 48 hours each week. The pay rate is £12.71 per hour.

What the job involves

You will support cleanliness and hygiene across the factory by cleaning machinery and different work areas. Full training will be provided for the specific equipment and spaces involved. The role also includes safe handling and use of cleaning chemicals, taking waste to the correct disposal areas, and carrying out one-off or ad hoc cleaning duties when required. Additional hours may be needed during staff shortages, audits, or VIP visits.

What we are looking for

The ideal person will be dependable, professional, adaptable, and focused on high standards. You should be able to communicate clearly with both the internal team and the client, work well with others, and contribute positively to site objectives. A strong team mindset is important, but you should also be comfortable working on your own without supervision. Full fluency in English is required, and you must be able to work at height.
