Acting as a key advisor to project leadership, you will play a vital role in risk mitigation, dispute prevention, and the successful delivery of complex infrastructure.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Oversee the entire contract management process for railway signaling projects from award to close-out.
- Ensure strict adherence to contract terms, company policies, and relevant legal requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
- Provide expert commercial and contractual advice to project directors, engineering teams, and senior management.
- Proactively identify, assess, and manage contractual risks and opportunities, implementing effective mitigation strategies.
- Manage all contractual communications, notifications, and documentation with clients, partners, and subcontractors.
- Lead the preparation, evaluation, and negotiation of contract variations, change orders, and claims.
- Support the development and implementation of strategies for claims and dispute resolution, including negotiation and settlement.
- Monitor project performance against contractual commitments and promptly address any potential contractual issues.
- Collaborate closely with legal, finance, procurement, and project management teams to maintain consistent contractual governance.
- Manage contracts with subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring alignment with the main project contract and objectives.
- Contribute to commercial reporting, financial forecasting, and risk assessments related to contractual matters.
- Ensure robust contract administration procedures and meticulous documentation control according to company standards.
- Assist project leadership in managing stakeholder relationships and in contract negotiations with clients and consortium partners.
Work Experience Requirements
- Possess 3 to 10 years of professional experience in contract management, ideally within multinational corporations, particularly in large infrastructure or railway projects.
- Demonstrate a proven history of managing complex EPC, turnkey, or railway signaling contracts in international project settings.
- Show a solid track record in contract administration, claims management, and dispute resolution.
- Have experience working with public sector clients and managing large infrastructure contracts, with a preference for experience in Saudi Arabia.
- Exhibit a strong understanding of project delivery models and commercial risk management principles applicable to large-scale transportation projects.
Qualification, Certification & Educational Requirements
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in Law, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- A Master's degree in Law, Business Administration (MBA), or Project Management is considered a significant advantage.
- Proficiency in both Arabic and English is required.
- The work location is Makkah city, Saudi Arabia.
- Preference will be given to Saudi nationals.
- Possession of professional certifications or training in commercial/contract management is highly desirable.
- Additional training or certification in FIDIC contract management or international construction law would be beneficial.
Preferred Skills
- In-depth knowledge of contractual frameworks common in infrastructure projects, such as FIDIC or GTPL.
- Advanced capabilities in negotiation, analytical thinking, and problem-solving.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in complex, multicultural project environments and manage diverse contractual interfaces.
- A strategic outlook, capable of balancing commercial protection with collaborative project execution.
What can we offer?
