Role overview

This opening is for an experienced Cost Control Manager who will take ownership of cost management efforts, track financial performance, and roll out initiatives that improve efficiency without compromising quality or business goals. The role includes responsibility for budgeting, cost analysis, reporting, and wider cost-optimization programs across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Create and execute cost-control approaches that support company objectives and financial targets.
• Track operating expenses, project spending, procurement outlay, and department budgets to maintain financial discipline.
• Perform detailed cost reviews, variance analysis, profitability evaluation, and financial modelling to uncover savings opportunities.
• Build budgets, forecasts, financial plans, and cost-performance reports to guide planning and leadership decisions.
• Work closely with finance, procurement, operations, supply chain, project teams, and business leaders to improve resource use and reduce inefficiencies.
• Establish and maintain cost-control policies, procedures, financial checks, and governance standards.
• Monitor KPIs, cost patterns, budget consumption, and operational performance to support continuous improvement.
• Assess investment proposals, capital expenditures, and business cases through feasibility and ROI analysis.
• Use ERP platforms, financial planning tools, business intelligence systems, and advanced analytics to improve cost visibility and reporting accuracy.
• Prepare executive dashboards, financial summaries, optimization recommendations, and strategic presentations for senior management.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, or a similar discipline is preferred.
• Professional credentials such as CMA, CPA, ACCA, CFA, PMP, or equivalent are considered a strong advantage.
• At least 5 years of experience in cost control, FP&A, management accounting, project controls, or corporate finance.
• At least 2 years of experience leading cost-control activities, budgeting cycles, or financial performance initiatives is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of cost accounting, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, financial modelling, and profitability management.
• Hands-on exposure to ERP systems, financial reporting tools, business intelligence platforms, and advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical, numerical, problem-solving, and strategic decision-making abilities.
• Excellent communication, presentation, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
• Comfort working across multiple priorities and delivering data-led recommendations in a fast-moving setting.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
