Role overview
U-Haul is looking for approachable, energetic people who enjoy supporting others to join the team as Customer Service Representatives in Kamloops, British Columbia. In this role, you will be the public face of the company, helping customers with their rental journey, supporting equipment handling, and delivering dependable service as part of a collaborative team. This position includes practical on-the-job learning.
Compensation and hiring bonus
The company promotes a “Hire Fast, Pay Fast” approach, which means you may begin working and be paid the same day. A hands-on interview can be scheduled and compensated. The role also includes a $100 hiring bonus, plus an additional $300 cash bonus that is paid right away after completing U-Haul Equipment Inspection and Verification through the 1-2-3 Punch Certification Program at retail stores.

Key responsibilities
- Support customers both inside and outside the U-Haul center with products and services.
- Use smartphone-based U-Scan tools to handle rentals and track inventory.
- Move U-Haul trucks and trailers and connect them properly.
- Clean equipment on the lot and check basic maintenance items such as fluid levels.
- Respond to customer questions and explain products and services clearly.
- Create rental invoices and process returned equipment.
- Install hitches and trailer wiring.
- Fill propane after completing certification provided by U-Haul once employed.
- Operate a forklift after completing certification provided by U-Haul once employed.
- Carry out other tasks as needed.
- Take part in ongoing learning through U-Haul University.
Minimum qualifications
- Valid driver’s licence with a record that can be maintained in good standing
- High school diploma or an equivalent qualification
Work environment
This position involves moderate risk and may include exposure to moving machinery, fumes, or irritating chemicals. Safety procedures must be followed, and protective items such as masks, goggles, gloves, or shields may be required.
Physical requirements
The job can involve extended periods of standing still, walking indoors and outdoors, reaching to different heights, and moving equipment that can weigh at least 50 lbs with or without assistance.
