Role overview
DHL Global Forwarding is hiring a licensed Customs Broker for its Customs team in Matraville (Sydney), New South Wales. This position supports the end-to-end clearance of shipments while helping ensure compliance with Australian customs and trade rules.

Responsibilities
- Oversee customs clearance from start to finish and make sure each shipment follows Australian customs requirements.
- Review supporting paperwork, classify goods correctly, prepare customs entries, and confirm all regulatory conditions are satisfied.
- Deliver strong customer support by managing incidents, escalations, and disputes in a timely and professional way.
- Keep current with updates to customs, tariff, classification, and trade compliance rules.
- Guide customers on customs and trade compliance matters when needed.
Key accountabilities
- Submit customs declarations accurately and within required timeframes.
- Meet assigned performance targets and operational metrics.
- Ensure all work aligns with applicable trade compliance legislation.
- Maintain active licences and accreditations, including DAFF accreditation and Brokers Licence, while completing all required professional development.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience lodging Australian customs entries for ocean and air freight.
- Current licensed customs broker status.
- Strong knowledge of Australian customs procedures and trade compliance obligations.
- Ability to handle customer issues, resolve conflicts, and respond well to escalations.
- A results-driven approach with the discipline to work toward targets and KPIs.
- Ability to work collaboratively, adapt positively to change, and stay focused under pressure.

Additional information
