Role Overview
This position is for a Data Analyst supporting the Sports Game Science & Insights team. The role focuses on analyzing data from sports titles, especially WWE 2K and PGA TOUR 2K, and turning product and business knowledge into practical insights for cross-functional teams. The analyst will help strengthen decision-making, build trusted stakeholder relationships, and support scalable data solutions that improve productivity and business success.
Key Responsibilities
- Use a strong understanding of game features, mechanics, and business priorities to produce insights that influence decisions.
- Build business narratives and support cases using data-driven storytelling and hypothesis-led analysis to help grow customer lifetime value.
- Act as a connector between data teams and business teams such as Product, Marketing, and Commercial by translating business needs into analytical projects.
- Create outputs in formats suited to stakeholder needs, such as reports, charts, tables, and visual dashboards.
- Develop knowledge of other internal game titles to create benchmark comparisons and performance context.
- Explore new measurement approaches to uncover patterns and causal relationships.
- Help teams monitor activity and productivity, support research work, and contribute to scalable self-service tools.
- Work with stakeholders to identify what data should be captured in the future to support new initiatives and create business value.
Candidate Profile
The right candidate should be able to identify the story behind the numbers, ask thoughtful questions, and solve problems creatively. A proactive self-starter who is enthusiastic about joining a growing insights team and driving meaningful impact will be a strong fit.
Qualifications
- Proven experience delivering analysis and insights across functions such as Product, Commercial, and Marketing.
- Strong command of SQL.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to make insights easy to understand and action.
- Curiosity and initiative to measure, improve, and understand business operations through data.
- Ability to prioritize independently and execute work effectively.
- Awareness of internal customer satisfaction as an important measure of success.
- Solid experience in data modeling; Python or R is a strong advantage.
- Experience using data visualization tools such as Tableau.
- Experience with and enthusiasm for video games, especially sports titles.
Compensation and Benefits
The expected starting salary range in California is $85,700 to $130,000 per year. Final compensation may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, market location, and other business factors.
The overall package may also include a bonus, equity awards, eligibility for the 401(k) plan, and participation in the Employee Stock Purchase Program.
