Role Overview
This is an in-office role based in Grand Rapids, MI. The Data Analytics position is responsible for turning raw information into useful insights that support strategic choices in the credit and collections space. The role focuses on studying complex datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and irregularities that can improve efficiency and customer experience. It also requires working closely with different departments to understand their information needs and deliver analytical solutions tailored to those needs. By using advanced analytics methods and tools, the analyst helps shape data-led strategies that support the company’s goals and give stakeholders the information they need to make sound decisions.
Minimum Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in data science, statistics, mathematics, or a closely related discipline.
- Strong SQL skills, with Microsoft SQL Server preferred.
- Hands-on experience with analysis tools such as Python or R.
- Experience creating visual reports with tools like Tableau or Power BI.
- Well-developed analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
Preferred Qualifications
- A master’s degree in a relevant subject area.
- Background in banking or financial services.
- Exposure to AI, machine learning, and predictive modeling.
Responsibilities
- Gather, prepare, and examine large datasets to uncover actionable findings.
- Build and update dashboards and reports that highlight key performance metrics.
