Role Summary

The Data Engineer will help design, build, and improve the systems that move and manage data across the organization. This role focuses on creating dependable pipelines, strengthening platform performance, and enabling teams to use accurate, timely data for decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and support reliable data pipelines that can handle high data volumes.
• Improve the data platform to increase speed, scalability, and cost efficiency.
• Work with cross-functional partners to understand their data requirements and deliver the right solutions.
• Create processes and tools that track model performance and data quality.
• Investigate and resolve a wide range of data issues.

Required Experience and Skills

• At least 5 years of experience in data engineering, though strong achievements may compensate for a shorter tenure.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
• Advanced SQL skills.
• Working proficiency in Python.
• Hands-on experience with cloud environments such as Google Cloud, AWS, or Azure.
• Familiarity with version control systems, especially Git.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Eagerness to continuously learn new technologies and approaches.
• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a closely related discipline.

Nice-to-Have Experience

• Exposure to data governance practices.
• Experience building and deploying machine learning models.
• Knowledge of Terraform or similar infrastructure-as-code tools.
