Job Summary

This position is for a driven Data Engineer focused on designing and implementing robust data transformation frameworks for large-scale analytics modernization programs. You will collaborate with client stakeholders and delivery teams to translate legacy ETL logic into a scalable, dbt-based architecture on Snowflake. The role is crucial for ensuring high-quality data availability for downstream analytics, strengthening transformation standards, enabling validation readiness, and accelerating the delivery of enterprise analytics platforms.

Key Result Areas and Activities

• Code Conversion, Refinement, and Optimization: Convert complex SSIS transformations into dbt staging, intermediate, and mart models. Review and validate tool-converted dbt transformations to ensure accuracy, maintainability, and alignment with enterprise modeling standards.
• Data Quality Framework Implementation: Define reconciliation strategies, implement automated validation checks, and ensure regression coverage across the transformation pipeline.
• Incremental Pipeline Implementation: Develop incremental loading strategies, snapshots, and dependency-aware model execution to support efficient and scalable transformation workflows.
• Documentation and Lineage Support: Maintain transformation documentation, mapping logic, testing evidence, and lineage metadata to support governance and audit readiness.
• Collaboration & Delivery Support: Work closely with cross-functional teams and client stakeholders to resolve transformation discrepancies and ensure timely migration delivery.
• ETL/ELT Development & Integration: Build and maintain ETL/ELT workflows using Snowflake-native features or external tools like DBT and Airflow.
• Performance Optimization & SQL Tuning: Optimize transformation logic for Snowflake execution efficiency, balancing compute utilization and query performance.
• Migration Governance and Support: Review transformation output, mentor junior engineers to ensure adherence to modeling standards, documentation practices, and delivery timelines.
