Role overview
This position sits within the distribution team at the Basingstoke Distribution Centre. The role is focused on helping move furniture safely and efficiently into customers’ homes while supporting the driver and wider depot operations. It is a hands-on, customer-facing job that rewards reliability, teamwork, and a strong work ethic.
The company is looking for someone who enjoys being active, working outdoors and spending time on the road. Furniture delivery experience may help, but attitude, willingness to learn, and the ability to work well with others matter more.
Key duties
- Help load and unload furniture for delivery runs.
- Assist the Delivery Driver in following the planned route and completing several drops each day.
- Deliver and install furniture carefully in customers’ homes.
- Work with the wider distribution centre team to prepare vehicles and handle stock.
- Provide a high standard of service and encourage customer feedback.
- Carry out checks to help keep the team and deliveries safe.
- Perform heavy lifting as part of the job.
Working pattern
The role is based on 46 hours across 4 days, with every Sunday off.

Applicants should be able to communicate clearly, work through set processes, and contribute to excellent customer satisfaction. Physical fitness is important because the work involves manual handling and lifting heavy items. A hardworking mindset and a collaborative approach are essential.
Experience in a warehouse setting is useful but not essential. A driving licence is also desirable.
