Role Overview
An established children’s apparel manufacturer is seeking an experienced E-Commerce Demand Planning Manager to oversee forecasting, inventory strategy, and business performance across key online sales channels.
This role is based in Midtown and requires five days per week on site.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of demand forecasting and inventory planning for an expanding product assortment.
- Maintain healthy in-stock levels while reducing overstock and supporting stronger cash flow.
- Oversee category-level P&L results and identify ways to improve revenue, margin, and overall profitability.
- Run weekly and monthly planning cadences and keep cross-functional partners aligned on forecasts, risks, and priorities.
- Work closely with Supply Chain teams to improve inventory movement across Amazon, Walmart, and 3PL channels.
- Review sales patterns, SKU-level performance, pricing, promotions, and market trends to guide business decisions.
- Assist with new product launches by building forecasts, buy plans, and inventory ramp-up strategies.
- Introduce process enhancements, stronger reporting, and initiatives that improve forecasting accuracy.
- Partner with Product, Sourcing, and Production teams to lower costs and strengthen portfolio performance.
Preferred Qualifications
- At least 5 years of experience in demand planning, inventory planning, merchandising, or retail planning.
- Proven exposure to managing or influencing P&L outcomes.
- Background in e-commerce operations.
- Strong analytical skills and advanced forecasting capability.
- High-level Excel proficiency, including Power Query, Power Pivot, and complex formulas.
- Experience using Power BI, Tableau, or similar visualization tools.
