Electrical Project Engineer

Role Overview

GETP Holding is seeking an Electrical Project Engineer to support transformer and substation-related electrical work in the Doha Metropolitan Area. The role focuses on installation, maintenance, monitoring, and site-level responsibility for electrical systems tied to transformers and switchgear.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out installation and maintenance activities for transformers with a strong working understanding of the systems involved.
• Handle basic electrical tasks covering single-phase and three-phase connections, CTs, VTs, circuit breakers, and protection relays.
• Perform maintenance work on 11 kV switchgear.
• Use testing instruments such as multimeters, insulation resistance meters, and other related test kits.
• Sample transformer oil and conduct oil BDV testing, along with PRV, OTI, and WTI maintenance.
• Monitor transformer performance and identify issues related to transformer operation.
• Inspect and supervise the electrical systems of substations at 11 kV and 415 V levels.
• Understand and respond to transformer-related faults and operational concerns.
• Support annual PPM activities connected to substations.
• Take ownership of assigned site responsibilities within the relevant electrical field and work to complete tasks on schedule.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 4 to 6 years of relevant professional experience.
• UPDA (MMUP) certification is required.
