Role overview
This role is being filled for a partner organization that handles applications and all subsequent hiring steps. The company is seeking an Executive Function Mentor in the United States to help high-achieving students strengthen the habits and systems that support both academic performance and personal growth.
As a consistent accountability partner, you will work closely with students to help them stay organized, keep up with commitments, and follow the goals set by senior coaching staff. Through regular one-to-one check-ins, you will assist learners with planning schedules, meeting deadlines, balancing workloads, and developing stronger study routines. The position suits educators and mentors who enjoy student development and want to work in a structured, people-focused learning environment.
You will coordinate with senior coaches to maintain continuity in student support and help ensure that each learner receives aligned guidance. The work offers a meaningful opportunity to influence students’ confidence, discipline, and long-term academic outcomes within a global learning community.
Key accountabilities
- Hold recurring mentoring sessions, potentially as often as daily, to help students complete work and hit academic or developmental milestones.
- Serve as a dependable accountability partner by monitoring progress and keeping students focused, motivated, and disciplined.
- Guide students as they manage calendars, assignments, due dates, and extracurricular responsibilities.
- Strengthen routines that support better organization, time use, and independent learning.
- Work in close partnership with Senior Executive Function Coaches to align on student objectives, weekly plans, and changing support needs.
- Tailor mentoring methods to fit individual student profiles, learning preferences, and developmental needs.
- Promote long-term executive function abilities such as planning, prioritizing, and self-regulation.
- Record communication and progress updates accurately in internal systems and coaching workflows.
Requirements
The ideal candidate should have a Master of Education (M.Ed.) from an accredited institution and prior experience supporting students in an academic, coaching, mentoring, or educational role. They should be able to earn trust quickly, keep learners accountable, and communicate clearly in student-facing settings.
Background or exposure to executive function development, student coaching, or leadership skill-building is strongly preferred. Familiarity with academic planning, SEL-based or other skills-oriented learning models, and progress-tracking methods will be an advantage. Experience with international or ESOL learners is helpful, and knowledge of US and/or UK college admissions processes is also valued.
Strong organization, the ability to manage multiple student relationships, and comfort working independently in a fully remote, contract-based setup are essential. A genuine commitment to education, student growth, and lasting learning impact is important for success in this role.
