Freelance Presentation Designer

Role overview

Mindrift is seeking an experienced Presentation Designer for the Tendem project to help shape specialized storytelling workflows within a hybrid AI-and-human setup. In this freelance, part-time remote role, you’ll work alongside Tendem Agents that take care of repetitive work while you contribute the judgment, subject-matter understanding, and layout expertise needed to produce polished, high-impact presentations.

This opportunity is suited to creative professionals who have practical experience in visual communication, information design, and narrative-driven presentation work.

What you will do

• Create persuasive pitch decks and refined one-pagers tailored to different audiences.
• Turn dense information and data into simple, visually structured storytelling with a strong emphasis on clarity and hierarchy.
• Improve slide quality through custom typography, tasteful motion, and consistent visual treatment.
• Maintain a premium style that blends corporate professionalism with creative presentation design.
• Review each deliverable carefully for alignment, pacing, and brand consistency before handoff.

Tools and working style

You should be comfortable using presentation and design tools such as PowerPoint, Keynote, Adobe Creative Suite, or Figma to build dynamic slides, custom graphics, and presentation layouts.

Requirements

• About 2 or more years of relevant experience in graphic design, presentation design, visual storytelling, or data visualization is preferred.
• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, Visual Communications, or a related creative discipline is an added advantage.
• Strong command of presentation software such as PowerPoint and Keynote for creating advanced and well-animated decks.
• Solid experience with Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator and Photoshop, or with Figma for creating layouts and visuals.
• Ability to convert complicated data and layered information into clean, easy-to-follow visual narratives.
• Advanced capability with typography and smooth animation for polished, high-end deliverables.
• English proficiency at Upper-Intermediate (B2) level or higher is required.
• Experience producing premium corporate-style work with a creative edge.
• Excellent attention to detail and a strong commitment to visual precision.
• Comfort working independently and solving design issues without close supervision.
• A CV with a portfolio link showing high-end presentations, pitch decks, and data visualization work is mandatory; applications without relevant portfolio examples will not be considered.

Project expectations

During active phases, the expected workload is approximately 10 to 20 hours per week. This estimate can vary depending on project needs and is only applicable while the project is active.

Compensation

Compensation can go up to the equivalent of $50 per hour, depending on your experience level and the pace of your contribution. Payment levels may differ across projects based on scope, complexity, and expertise required.
