Role overview
This full-time janitorial position in Kalamazoo, Michigan offers an hourly wage of $15.00 and follows the schedule of Friday from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM, and Saturday through Monday from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
The role places you on the front line of facility care, where you will be trained to support cleaning and disinfecting tasks using environmentally preferred, Green Seal certified supplies and equipment. You will represent the company in a professional, dependable, and courteous manner while helping maintain clean and safe spaces.
Key duties
- Learn and apply the organization’s cleaning and disinfection methods and equipment.
- Maintain a friendly, reliable, and resourceful presence while working in the facility.
- Clean and wipe a range of surfaces such as countertops, fixtures, glass, mirrors, windows, and furniture.
- Collect and remove trash from assigned areas.
- Restock paper towels, soap, and toilet tissue.
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors as needed.
- Watch for maintenance concerns such as damaged items, leaks, or repairs that need attention, and report them promptly.

Requirements
Applicants must be at least 18 years old and have some prior janitorial experience. Training on the company’s cleaning standards will be provided. Candidates must successfully complete a drug screening and background check, follow safety rules, and wear company-provided apparel and protective equipment when required by the role or OSHA standards. Reliable transportation is also required.
