Golf Greenkeeper

Role Overview

Qiddiya Investment Company is seeking a Golf Greenkeeper to help keep the golf course in immaculate condition and maintain the premium standards expected in a luxury setting. This position works as part of a team to care for greens, fairways, tee boxes, and the wider course landscape while supporting an outstanding playing experience through strong turf care, landscaping awareness, and equipment handling.

Turf and Course Care

• Carry out mowing across greens, tees, fairways, and rough areas using specialist turf-maintenance equipment.
• Apply fertilizers, pesticides, and herbicides safely and in line with environmental and health requirements.
• Complete aeration, topdressing, and turf restoration tasks to encourage healthy grass growth.
• Look after bunkers and sand traps by raking them and maintaining correct sand depth and drainage.
• Watch for signs of turf disease or pest activity and escalate issues without delay.
• Support the upkeep of landscaping elements such as trees, shrubs, and other course features.
• Assist with turf repairs, pathway upkeep, and irrigation-related tasks to preserve the course’s appearance and consistency.

Equipment Handling and Maintenance

• Operate mowers, tractors, sprayers, and irrigation equipment as needed for daily course maintenance.
• Perform basic care and routine checks on machinery to keep equipment in working order.
• Clean, service, and store tools and machines properly after use.

Health, Safety, and Environmental Standards

• Follow all safety procedures when using chemicals and operating machinery.
• Contribute to responsible water use, controlled chemical application, and proper waste handling.
• Help maintain a safe environment for colleagues, golfers, and guests by spotting and reducing hazards.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or an equivalent qualification is required.
• At least 2 years of experience as a greenkeeper or in turf management, preferably in a golf course or resort environment.
• Comfortable operating turf-care equipment such as mowers, tractors, and sprayers.
• Good understanding of turfgrass varieties, common diseases, and pest-control practices.
• Working knowledge of irrigation systems and basic repair work is preferred.
• Certification related to pesticide application or turf management would be an added advantage.
• Able to work outdoors for long periods in different weather conditions.
• Physically capable of lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods while completing manual tasks.
