Role Purpose

This position is responsible for shaping and improving organization-wide governance frameworks so decisions are made consistently, transparently, and with accountability. The role supports stronger controls, regulatory alignment, organizational maturity, and well-informed strategic execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Create, roll out, and regularly update enterprise governance frameworks, policies, and standards.
• Promote uniform governance practices across all departments and business units.
• Set up governance processes, control checks, and approval pathways, then monitor their effectiveness.
• Prepare documentation that can support audits, including decision records and control evidence.
• Make decision-making traceable, transparent, and accountable.
• Track compliance with governance requirements and escalate gaps or exceptions when needed.
• Coordinate governance committees, forums, and reporting routines.
• Work with risk and compliance teams to embed governance into day-to-day business processes.
• Review current governance maturity and drive ongoing improvements aligned with best practices.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, Finance, or a similar discipline.
• 7 to 10 years of professional experience in governance, risk, compliance, or a closely related area.
• Strong knowledge of corporate governance structures and accepted best practices.
• Hands-on experience building policies, procedures, and governance controls.
• Proven ability to strengthen accountability and uphold governance standards.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong analytical thinking with a sharp eye for detail.
• High ethical standards and sound professional judgment.
• Prior involvement in audit and compliance support activities.
