About the role
Margaret Howell is a long-established British fashion label with a global presence, including its own stores in Europe, a large retail network in Japan, and an active online business. The company is looking for a creative, highly organised, and detail-focused Graphic Designer to join its Marketing and Brand team.
In this role, you will work closely with the Marketing Team and the Head of Brand to deliver polished visual communications across print, digital, retail, and e-commerce channels. Your work will help strengthen and develop the brand’s distinctive visual identity while supporting the business in achieving its commercial goals.
Location
Head office, W1, with remote working.
Working hours
This is a full-time position of 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
Key responsibilities
- Create digital and print-ready materials for point of sale, in-store communication, advertising, event invitations, and promotional collateral.
- Develop and update branded templates and stationery, including packaging, labels, business cards, and document layouts.
- Produce design assets for collaborations and partnership projects.
- Create web and social content such as website pages and email marketing visuals, coordinating with internal teams and external agencies to keep delivery on schedule.
- Support the preparation of presentations for both internal and external audiences.
- Organise seasonal image libraries, including campaign visuals, shoot content, and online look imagery.
- Maintain, organise, and manage existing artwork files and creative assets.
- Apply brand standards consistently while contributing to the ongoing evolution of those guidelines.
- Bring fresh ideas and informed creative input based on a strong understanding of the Margaret Howell brand.
Role requirements
- Prior experience in graphic design.
- Confident use of core design tools, including Figma and Adobe Creative Suite, with Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, and After Effects required.
- Strong command of layout principles and typography for both print and digital work.
- Working knowledge of the Shopify platform.
- Excellent attention to detail in design output, communication, and asset management.
- A collaborative mindset and willingness to work across departments.
- Highly organised, self-motivated, and able to handle several projects at once while meeting deadlines.
Desirable experience
- Interest in the wider design landscape.
- Experience with Premiere Pro and After Effects.
- Up-to-date awareness of customer experience and online marketing trends.
