Role Overview
The Housekeeping Attendant is responsible for supporting guests throughout their stay while maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of guest rooms and public spaces according to hotel standards. The position requires close coordination with the Supervisor and Coordinator to respond to guest needs promptly and deliver a personalized experience.
Key Duties
- Assist guests during their stay and keep guest rooms and shared areas clean and well maintained in line with hotel procedures.
- Work with the Supervisor and Coordinator to ensure guest requests are handled quickly and efficiently.
- Look for opportunities to create a more personal and memorable guest experience.
- Protect guest privacy and belongings while maintaining a consistently high level of service.
- Oversee the closing of the service area at the end of the day and confirm that equipment is stored correctly and no hazardous items are left behind.
- Prepare the trolley before work by arranging guest amenities, cleaning materials, mini bar items, and clean linen in proper order.
- Inspect and record rooms displaying the “MAKE UP” sign.
- Check rooms marked “Do Not Disturb” before the end of the shift and respect the DND instruction.
Qualifications and Skills
The ideal candidate should have a strong service orientation, solid interpersonal abilities, and the confidence to communicate clearly in fluent English. Prior experience in a comparable role at a 5-star hotel is considered an advantage. The job also requires someone who is physically active, efficient, and capable of working with care and attention to detail.
