About the Role
The Housekeeping Runner position at Courtyard by Marriott is a full-time, non-management role based at the Singapore property. The role focuses on supporting housekeeping operations, keeping linen and supply areas organized, and helping maintain the cleanliness and readiness of guest and back-of-house spaces.
Key Duties
- Move carts loaded with clean linen from the laundry area to the storage rooms on each floor.
- Restock linen rooms according to the linen distribution needs listed for each floor.
- Return the cart to its assigned location at the end of the shift.
- Keep the laundry room, supply and storage closets, linen room, and uniform room clean and orderly.
- Spot and report maintenance concerns in guest rooms and public areas.
Work Standards and Safety
- Follow company policies, safety rules, and security procedures at all times.
- Report maintenance issues, hazards, accidents, and injuries promptly.
- Complete required safety training and certifications.
- Maintain a clean, neat, and professional appearance, including uniform standards.
- Protect confidential company information.
Guest Service and Teamwork
- Greet guests courteously and in line with company standards.
- Respond to guest needs proactively and support guests with disabilities when needed.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with coworkers and guests.
- Build positive working relationships and respond constructively to team concerns.
- Consistently meet the expected quality standards for the role.
Physical Requirements
- Lift, carry, move, and place objects up to 55 pounds on your own and more with assistance.
- Push and pull equipment across slopes and uneven surfaces.
- Handle items of different sizes and weights with accuracy and coordination.
- Reach above the head and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
- Remain standing, sitting, kneeling, or walking for long periods throughout the shift.
- Work in narrow, confined, or elevated areas as needed.
- Use manual dexterity continuously, with frequent fine-motor and two-handed tasks.
