Role summary

Working under the direction of Housekeeping Management, this position is responsible for maintaining linen flow, keeping guest corridors clean, and ensuring guest requests are handled promptly and accurately.

Key duties

  • Deliver guest service in line with Fairmont standards and operating procedures.
  • Remove soiled linen from pantries on a regular basis and return it to the linen room.
  • Replenish pantries with fresh linen according to stock levels.
  • Support the linen room with routine daily tasks when needed.
  • Report any lost-and-found items immediately, whether found in rooms, corridors, service lift landings, public spaces, or the basement.
  • Escalate faulty equipment to the Floor Supervisor or Housekeeping Management without delay.
  • Be accountable for assigned keys, pager, and work papers, and return them before the shift ends.
  • Clean and store all equipment, including vacuums, in the storeroom after use.
  • Vacuum and dust corridors and staircases based on the assigned section.
  • Deliver guest supplies to pantries each day according to the order list and restock service areas.
  • Record and complete guest requests passed through Housekeeping Supervisors or Management exactly as instructed.
  • Move furniture when operationally required.
  • Refill chemicals each day.
  • Clean wall lights and ceiling lights as needed.
  • Polish brass and clean windows, including frames, in arrival rooms and long-stay guest rooms.
