Role Overview
The Human Resources Lead supports store sales and shapes a strong customer experience by creating an excellent experience for store associates. This position oversees hiring, onboarding, training, retention, and weekly scheduling, and partners closely with store leadership to help associates succeed and support store goals. This is an hourly role and includes eligibility for a monthly bonus.
Key Responsibilities
- Show strong ownership, accountability, and initiative while working toward store goals and key performance measures.
- Attract and fill open roles in a timely way by sharing openings, sourcing candidates, reviewing applications, arranging interviews, starting background checks, and completing the hiring process, while keeping candidates informed and supported throughout.
- Deliver a structured onboarding process that helps new hires get ready for service, selling, and operational expectations, and confirm they understand their role, policies, benefits, scheduling, communication tools, and learning platforms.
- Support retention, engagement, and ongoing learning efforts by building a positive team culture, strengthening connections, recognizing contributions, and celebrating individual and group achievements.
- Keep associate records accurate and current across internal systems and personnel files for compliance, staffing, benefits, scheduling, payroll, and reporting needs.
- Create schedules that reflect talent availability, customer traffic, and business demand, while reviewing availability and time-off requests with store leaders; also audit timecards and monitor attendance each day.
- Take part in weekly leadership planning to prepare hiring, training, and engagement actions, and use talent data and reports to identify wins and improvement opportunities.
- Provide confidential support to store associates by responding to concerns, collecting relevant details, and helping guide issue resolution.
- Handle daily cash office work, including deposit processing, change orders, cash fund upkeep, and audits.
- Lead shortage control efforts and reduce risk in assigned areas while following asset protection, safety, and security requirements.

- Ability to move throughout the store and remain available to customers.
- Physical ability to bend, reach, lift, carry, move, and handle items weighing up to 40 lbs.
