Overview
This full-time Human Resources Advisor opportunity is with Canterbury League Club in Belmore, New South Wales. The organisation is one of Sydney’s leading hospitality destinations in the south west, operating across three venues with a team focused on delivering an exceptional guest experience.
Role summary
In this position, you will support both employees and managers across the business while continuing to grow your HR capability within a professional, collaborative team. The role suits an established HR Advisor as well as someone in an HR Officer or operational people role who is ready to move into a broader advisory position.
Key responsibilities
- Offer practical and prompt HR guidance that is solution-oriented.
- Assist managers with employee relations issues and performance management processes.
- Support recruitment activity and workforce planning.
- Help manage and administer the organisation’s online learning management system.
- Coordinate work health and safety activities, including training and return-to-work support.
- Help ensure compliance with Fair Work requirements and applicable awards.

You should be dependable, attentive to detail, and comfortable operating in a broad generalist HR role, ideally in a high-volume environment.
Skills and experience
You will need prior experience in an HR Advisor, HR Generalist, or similar role, plus experience supporting hospitality or other fast-paced customer service settings. Strong communication, interpersonal ability, organisation, and time management are important, along with the capacity to manage competing priorities. Experience dealing with employee relations matters is highly valued.
Qualifications
Tertiary study in Human Resources, Business, or a related field is required.
