Role overview
The Inventory Control Analyst will help keep system records aligned with physical stock to support vehicle manufacturing operations in Fremont, CA. The role centers on reducing inventory variances, improving controls, and partnering with multiple teams to strengthen inventory accuracy across the business.
Key responsibilities
- Investigate inventory mismatches, out-of-balance items, and misidentified records, then perform root-cause analysis and recommend actions to prevent repeat issues.
- Review problematic inventory transactions and ensure stock balances stay correct across all relevant systems; make adjustments only with management approval.
- Prepare, verify, and share monthly statistical reports on inventory patterns and trends with management.
- Carry out daily inventory transactions in ERP, MRP, and MES systems so inventory data remains accurate and available in real time.
- Address process-related challenges in material management, warehousing, and production control.
- Partner with Quality, Engineering, Warehouse, Production, Logistics, and Purchasing teams to ensure inventory procedures are followed and to support continuous improvement work.
- Serve as a point of contact for internal and external partners on Foreign Trade Zone activities, and coordinate with 3PL providers to ensure bonded and domestic goods are correctly identified, handled, and received into the zone.
Candidate profile
- A degree in Business, Math, Engineering, or equivalent hands-on experience is preferred.
- Prior inventory control experience in a manufacturing setting is required.
- Working knowledge of ERP, MRP, and WMS basics, especially material master data and inventory control modules.
- Ability to understand Engineering BOM and Manufacturing BOM structures and track changes between them.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Google Sheets.
- Quick to learn new systems and navigate new system functions.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
Compensation and benefits
The annual pay range for this position is $84,000 to $162,000, plus cash awards, stock awards, and benefits. Compensation may differ based on location, relevant knowledge, skills, and experience.
